What Is The End Game?

The end game is the goal. The end game is the objective. The end game is what you are working towards. The end game is what you wish to achieve. What is the end game?

The end game of all business activities is profit. The end game of all political activities is to have power and rights to run government and determine distribution and use of resources. The end game of studies is to receive qualifications to proceed to another level or to be considered an expert in a discipline. What is the end game?

When you are very busy, we may wish to know the end game of your busyness. When you are so passionate and invested in something, we may want to know the end game. What is the end game?

What you do should be directly related to your end game. If you neglect your children, what is your end game? Can a parent want children who are maladjusted and misfit in society? Most likely not. Yet that is the most probable result of neglecting them. If you claim to love your children but you neglect them, we would want to know, what is the end game? 

If you neglect your children in order to teach your spouse a lesson, what is the end game? A spouse who has towed your line or children who are indisciplined? What is your end game? If children are neglected and they grow without discipline, because parents have disagreements, the parents are childish, they will regret the end game. What is your end game?

The end game is the final product and no other. Small goals are not the end game. Achievements in the interim are not the end game. The end game is what happens at the final end and nothing more. We should not make short term achievements to be our end game. The end game in school is not to go for a trip, but to graduate at the end. Small achievements in between are not the end game. What is the end game?

Amos 9:10-11 (Message Bible) – but all the sinners will be sifted out and thrown away, the people who say, ‘Nothing bad will ever happen in our lifetime. It won’t even come close.’ 11  “But also on that Judgment Day I will restore David’s house that has fallen to pieces. I’ll repair the holes in the roof, replace the broken windows, fix it up like new. David’s people will be strong again

The end game is not to punish sinners who think they can’t be punished. They will be punished, but that is not the end game. What must happen after sinners are punished and sin eliminated is the end game.

Prophet Amos tells us about God’s end game. The end game is to restore Israel. God tells us that He will restore David’s house. God will restore every aspect of life in Israel. Life will be sweet, nice and enjoyable. That is the end game!

Amos 9:13-15 (Message Bible) – “Yes indeed, it won’t be long now.” God’s Decree.
“Things are going to happen so fast your head will swim, one thing fast on the heels of the other. You won’t be able to keep up. Everything will be happening at once—and everywhere you look, blessings! Blessings like wine pouring off the mountains and hills. 14  I’ll make everything right again for my people Israel: “They’ll rebuild their ruined cities. They’ll plant vineyards and drink good wine. They’ll work their gardens and eat fresh vegetables. 15  And I’ll plant them, plant them on their own land. They’ll never again be uprooted from the land I’ve given them.” God, your God, says so.

The end game is a good life of abundance. The end game is a life of fulfillment. The end game is peace and tranquility. The end game is stability. The end game is eternal bliss. That is the end game of all these chaos and activities that we must endure and struggle through. That is the end game.

Examine yourself today and redefine your end game. The way you are operating in school, what is the end game? The way you make health choices, what is the end game? The way you are relating with your partner and others, what is the end game? The way you spend your money daily, no savings, no investments, no tithes and offerings, what is the end game? Short term achievements are not the end game. End game happens at the very end when much can’t be changed. What is your end game?

As you avoid religious matters, what is your end game? You avoid church attendance, what is your end game? You don’t pray nor study the Bible, what is your end game? You erratically attend the church, what is your end game?

God has a great end game for us who believe in Him. A beautiful happy life is God’s end game. Do you want it? May God help me to align my life to His end game. In Jesus name, Amen!
