This text has been used to wrongly interpret scripture. Some people have concluded that the seven days creation actually took seven thousand years because one day is equal to a thousand years. What does this text mean?
Being idle seems innocent and harmless, but for the Bible to warn us about it as it does, we must beware. Idleness creates a fertile ground for a regrettable future. The following reasons are why the Bible warns about idleness.
“For all nations” is a statement repeated throughout scripture in relation to the worship of God. Both Old and New testaments repeatedly tell us that it is for all nations. Therefore attempts to localise Jesus as black or scriptural message as unAfrican are not Bible inspired attempts. All nations are beneficiaries of God’s grace.
The deception is fine-sounding. Seems logical. It makes a lot of sense, but it is still a deception.
