You Have Direct Access To The Boss 

Hebrews 8:1-2 (NIV) – 1 Now the main point of what we are saying is this: We do have such a high priest, who sat down at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in heaven, 2 and who serves in the sanctuary, the true tabernacle set up by the Lord, not by a mere human being.

Hebrews 8:1 (Amplified Bible) – Now the main point of what we have to say is this: we have such a High Priest, [the Christ] who is seated [in the place of honor] at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty (God) in heaven,

The Boss is the owner. The Boss is the final decision maker. The Boss can overrule everyone else. The Boss solves all problems without referring to anyone else. There is no greater safety than having direct access to the Boss.

Many bosses are hard to reach. Many bosses have assistants who prevent people from accessing them. Many bosses never know that people are struggling to access them. Many bosses never know that bosses below them are making life hard for the people. Many of those suffering would have their problems solved if they could access the Boss. Therefore, having direct access to the Boss is the best news ever. You have direct access to the Boss.

When mothers brought children to Jesus, the disciples prevented them. Parents wanted Jesus to touch their children. The touch by Jesus was healing, blessing and life changing for the better. Yet the disciples prevented them and even tried sending them away! Jesus had to intervene and give direct access to parents and their children. You have direct access to the Boss!

A woman who was very sick, bleeding for twelve years. Seeking medical help in various places for twelve years without success. This woman knew that if she could access Jesus, her twelve year problem would be solved. The problem was that Jesus was surrounded by a huge thick crowd. She painfully pushed through and touched the hem of Jesus’s garment. She instantly recovered after having direct access to Jesus. At that moment, Jesus recognized her and gave her further direct access. Direct access brought healing. You have direct access to the Boss!

A man was struggling with sin and rejection. He heard about Jesus, but couldn’t access Him. When he heard that Jesus was passing by, he climbed up a Sycamore tree just to catch a glance of Jesus. As Jesus passed by, He stopped by the Sycamore tree and gave the desperate man direct access. The man’s problems were solved. Zaccheus lived a better life after having direct access to Jesus. You have direct access to the Boss!

A king ruled on behalf of God. A prophet spoke on behalf of God. A priest represented people in the presence of God. Jesus was all the three but much more our priest representing us before God.

During the Sanctuary service times, when the Priest went into the Sanctuary, it was as good as all of us had accessed the Sanctuary. If the Priest had access, it meant we all have access. Jesus is now our Priest in the heavenly Sanctuary.

Because of Jesus, we have direct daily constant access to the highest authority that owns and runs the world. God owns and runs the world. Jesus is permanently present and seated on the right hand of God. Jesus is there as your representative and my representative. He is our High Priest. Therefore, we have direct access to the Boss!

We do not need intermediaries. We have direct access to the Boss. Just one prayer and we are directly accessing the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. We have direct access to the Boss!

In case of sickness, we have direct access to the Boss. In case of lack of money we have direct access to the Boss. In case we fear anything, we have direct access to the Boss. In case of tough exams that we need to pass, we have direct access to the Boss. In case relationships are a source of stress, we have direct access to the Boss. If anyone or some people are scheming to harm us, we have direct access to the Boss. If we are seeking justice, we have direct access to the Boss!

Hebrews 4:14-16 (NIV) – 14 Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. 15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are —yet he did not sin. 16 Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

Come in time of need. Come confidently. You have direct access to the Boss and it shall be well. Prayer gives you and me daily direct access to the Boss. May we find grace to help us in time of need when we access the Boss today, in Jesus’s name, Amen!
