Why Is He Keeping an Eye on You?

Amos 9:4 (NIV) – Though they are driven into exile by their enemies, there I will command the sword to slay them. “I WILL KEEP AN EYE ON THEM FOR HARM AND NOT FOR GOOD.”

God is ever looking at us. Nothing happens that God doesn’t see. He can’t miss anything because you did it as He looked away. God sees everyone and everything. The question is, why does He keep an eye on you?

The prophet Amos tells us that Israelites had become so wicked, that God decided they deserve punishment. The prophet tells Israelites that God will ensure they are punished properly. God will pursue them everywhere they go, in order to punish them. God will keep an eye on them for purposes of punishment.

God will keep an eye on them to ensure they are punished properly. He will keep an eye on them for harm not for good. Why is God keeping an eye on you?

2 Chronicles 16:9 (NIV) – For THE EYES OF THE LORD RANGE THROUGHOUT THE EARTH TO STRENGTHEN THOSE WHOSE HEARTS ARE FULLY COMMITTED TO HIM. You have done a foolish thing, and from now on you will be at war. ”

The Bible tells us that, God also looks all over the earth, checking out on the welfare of those who are committed to Him. Those whose hearts are committed to Him. Hearts suggesting genuineness as opposed to superficiality. He is keeping an eye on those who are fully committed to Him. Fully committed, because some are seasonally committed to God.

God keeps an eye on those whose hearts are fully committed to Him. He keeps an eye on them, so that He can strengthen them. He keeps an eye on them so that they don’t give up. He keeps an eye on them so that they are not discouraged. He keeps an eye on them so that they succeed in what they are doing. He keeps an eye on them to strengthen them. 

Why does God keep an eye on you? The choice is yours. If you are wicked, sinful, evil and against Him, He will keep an eye on you, to destroy you. He won’t fail and you won’t escape.

Why does God keep an eye on you? The choice is yours. If your heart is genuinely and full time committed to Him, He will keep an eye on you, to strengthen you. He will ensure you are strong throughout and under all circumstances.

God is keeping an eye on everyone all the time but for different reasons. Why does God keep an eye on you? May God help me to be genuinely and all the time committed to Him. May God keep an eye on me to strengthen me. In Jesus name, Amen!
