Who is Abishag? What needs is she satisfying? Why couldn’t his many wives satisfy these needs? Why was Abishag necessary? How do we apply this message today when polygamy is no longer an option? Do we still need Abishag in present day society? Without Abishag some urgent needs will never be met. Should we accept Abishag?
The love between Jonathan and David was more wonderful than that of women. What does that mean? Were they homosexuals? Why would the love of women be considered secondary? What was in this love that made it superior? I wish you this type of love in Jesus’ name, Amen!
It is very sad to know that there are people who derive pleasure in provoking others. There are people who you will try avoiding in order to have peace but they will seek you to provoke you. You will be provoked not because of what you have done or said but because of who the other person is- evil. Scripture will let us know how to deal with repeated provocation.
Temporary is brief, doesn’t take long, and will soon end and get forgotten. When something is temporary, we do not worry much about it because it will not last long. Many times we do not give much thought when we decide to engage on the temporary. The message today is, choose your temporary carefully. In the message today is a personal testimony of how a temporary decision is now a lifetime feature in my life. Be careful about the temporary!
Losses hurt us. It is not easy to survive the loss. Loss of valuable gadgets. Loss of employment. Loss of status and reputation. Whatever loss is too much to bear. Worst of all is the loss of a loved one. But since no one is guaranteed a loss-free life, we must learn how to recover from any loss that may, unfortunately, visit us. How to initiate recovery from any loss!
What we are doing is what others were eternally punished for. Exactly how we are conducting ourselves, is how those who were eternally punished, were conducting themselves. Why haven’t we been punished? For this very reason, others were eternally punished!
Should Christians focus on being social? Is social inferior to spiritual? It is unfortunate that though God gave us several facets of life, we tend to emphasize one or two at the expense of others. A well-lived life is a life that all facets that are balanced and equally experienced. We should give our physical beings as much attention as we give our spiritual, mental, and social.
God is love. Not love as we may be limited to know. While God is love, we worship God not love. Love and God cannot be separated, yet we worship God not love. While God is eternal, we worship God and not eternity. God is love but love is not God. It is impossible to separate what love is from who God is. This is love in its highest form that the human mind will forever study and progressively comprehend but never fully comprehend. With this revelation of love and its association with God, indeed love is underrated!
Older women are more likely to know what young women are going through. Older women have most likely had the experience young women are now having. Younger women are most likely to appreciate guidance from older women if it is done well. This structure informs all of us, men and women how to help others.
