He Can Do What No One Can Do!

Revelation 5:4 – I wept and wept because no one was found who was worthy to open the scroll or look inside.

Revelation 5:5 – Then one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep! See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed. He is able to open the scroll and its seven seals.”

An Angel had just declared that there is no one who can open and read the scroll or book that God was holding while seating on the throne. The Angel said no one was worthy. The Angel said no one in heaven and above or earth and below could open and read!

What a hopeless situation. No one can open and read, yet it needs to be opened and read! John resorted to weeping or crying out loud uncontrollably because the situation was hopeless.

Around the throne are 24 Elders. One of the 24 Elders came and comforted John. He told John not to cry. He told John that there is someone who can do what no one can do!

Someone who can do what no one can do is the someone we urgently need in our lives! When everyone has reached the end of their influence and ability, we need someone who can go beyond and do what can’t be done by even the best of us. He can do what no one can do!

The Elder tells John that the Lion of the tribe of Judah is able to do what no one can do. The Lion of the tribe of Judah is Jesus. Jesus can do what no one can do.

Jesus can raise the dead. Jesus can walk on water. Jesus can turn water into wine. Jesus can do what no one can do!

Our reaction when things we want done get to an impossible point is to cry and resign. The word of God speaks to us today in an encouraging way. Do not cry about your situation that has reached a cul de sac, a dead end. When no one can do it, remember there is Jesus. Jesus can do what no one can do!

Has your health situation reached where no one can do anything to make it better? Is your financial situation such that no one can do anything to improve it? Have you reached a point in your studies where you can’t do better and no one can help you and you must face failure? Do not give up and do not cry. Jesus can do what no one can do!

No one can help with your relationship issues? You have moved from friend to friend, Counselor to counselor and nothing is changing. Relatives and parents can’t help your relationship? No one can help and now it seems it must just collapse? Do not give up and do not cry. Jesus can do what no one can do!

Spiritually you are weak and you keep backsliding. You have been rebaptized many times. You have tried every advice. You have been prayed for many times. No one can help your spiritual situation? Do not give up and do not cry. Jesus can do what no one can do!

How is your career? Stuck? Fixed by people to ensure you do not progress? Nothing is working? No one can help your situation? Do not give up and do not cry. Jesus can do what no one can do!

Revelation 5:7 – He went and took the scroll from the right hand of him who sat on the throne.

Jesus did what the Angel had declared that no one can do. The Angel said no one can take the scroll or book that God was holding while seating on the throne. Jesus went and took it. Jesus can do what no one else can do!

May Jesus do for me and you what someone somewhere has declared no one can do. May Jesus do for me what we have tried everything and failed and we are convinced that no one can do. May it happen, even today, in Jesus’s name, Amen!
