Hebrews 6:1 – Therefore let us move beyond the elementary teachings about Christ and be taken forward to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, and of faith in God,
Let us move beyond. Move on. Move ahead. Don’t stop where you started. You are doing well if you are moving on!
Hebrews chapter six is dedicated to spiritual growth. The writer says, let us move beyond elementary teachings of faith. Learn more than you learnt when you became a believer. Move on beyond where you started. You are doing well if you are moving on.
A builder who stops after constructing the foundation may look successful at the beginning but a failure over time. Unless you move on, your success today will be evidence of your failure tomorrow. Your safety is in moving on.
Moving on is growing. A living things that stops growing is dead. Are you growing? Are you alive spiritually? The only evidence of life is growth. Growing is moving on from where you are to a better place. You are doing well if you are moving on!
Are you growing spiritually? Are you overcoming bad habits over time? Are you becoming a better person? Are you studying scripture to the level you can now teach? Are you understanding more? Are your questions on Bible issues getting answered? Are you relating with people well? Are you growing? Are you moving on? You are doing well if you are moving on!
Move away from hatred and grudges by forgiving those who offend you. Refusal to forgive is refusal to let go and is refusal to move on. God commands us to move on! You are doing well if you are moving on!
Move on from pain, that means healing. Move on from fear, that means courage. Move on from being confused to having clarity through plans and budgets. You are doing well if you are moving on!
Pray for yourself so that you can move on. Move on to better health. Move on to stable business and good money. Move on to good performance in school. Move on to joy bringing relationships. Move on to a stronger faith in God. Move on! In Jesus’s name, Amen!
