This Will Happen To Partners In Crime 

Isaiah 9:21 (NIV) – Manasseh will feed on Ephraim, and Ephraim on Manasseh; together they will turn against Judah. Yet for all this, his anger is not turned away, his hand is still upraised.

Partners in crime are people who collaborate in sinning against God. Partners in crime offend God. Partners in crime join their efforts to upend God’s will as expressed in scripture. Partners in crime unite to hurt the feelings of others and harm others. 

Isaiah chapter nine ends with a message to partners in crime. God says He knows those who have been collaborating to do evil. God knows and sees those who meet secretly to plan how to establish their will on others as opposed to God’s will. God knows the phone calls and texts that discuss evil. God sees, hears and knows all partners in crime.

In the day of God’s wrath, He will causes partners in crime to harm each other. People and groups that once united to do evil including harming others will wildly and mercilessly destroy each other. This is what God will do to partners in crime!

The tribes of Manasseh, Ephraim and Judah were partners in crime. They jointly sinned against God. They jointly made evil normal way of life. God now promises that Manasseh and Ephraim will turn against each other, then will turn against Judah. Partners in crime will destroy each other. This is what God will do to partners in crime!

Isaiah 9:19-20 (NIV) – 19 By the wrath of the LORD Almighty the land will be scorched and the people will be fuel for the fire; THEY WILL NOT SPARE ONE ANOTHER. 20 On the right they will devour, but still be hungry; on the left they will eat, but not be satisfied. EACH WILL FEED ON THE FLESH OF THEIR OWN OFFSPRING:

Partners in crime will turn against each other. They will even destroy their own children. God will cause them to go mad against each other and against their own families. This is what will happen to partners in crime!

With whom do you gossip and spread lies and hurtful information about others? That is your partner in crime. God promises that very soon, the two of you will destroy each other!

Have you secretly reported anyone to the boss so that they suffer at work? You seemed innocent but you were behind job loss or transfer or other misfortunes at work? You and the boss are partners in crime. God has promised that you and that boss will soon destroy each other!

Have you ganged up with your parents against a sibling? Have you ganged up as siblings against another sibling? Have you ganged up with children against your marriage partner? Are you claiming to teach someone a lesson when actually you are causing them suffering? You are all partners in crime and God is watching. God has promised that all of you partners in crime, will turn against each other and bitterly harm each other!

Are you and a few people behind the stalemate in church board decisions making? You planned to teach the pastor a lesson, now nothing can move. You are enjoying as the man or woman of God feels stranded. You are partners in crime, you will soon destroy each other!

After the sermon is preached, you discuss with others to water it down. You suggest that what the preacher said is not sensible. You suggest that what was preached can’t be done and doesn’t make sense. You have become partners in crime working against God’s word. God promises that you will destroy each other!

Are we partners online to shut others down? We gang up online to spread falsehoods and destroy anyone we perceive as an enemy. We are the keyboard warriors. We are partners in crime. God promises to give us a dose of our own medicine, and someday the criticism and hurt we caused others online, will be done to us.

May God open our eyes to see and identify our fellow partners in crime. May God help us to break the partnership in crime. May God forgive us for sins and offenses we did as we partnered with others in crime. In Jesus name, Amen!
