Don’t Stop! You Stop You Fail. Keep Trying

Galatians 6:9 – Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. (NIV)

Galatians 6:9  So let’s not allow ourselves to get fatigued doing good. At the right time we will harvest a good crop if we don’t give up, or quit. (Message Bible)

Don’t get tired doing the right thing. The right thing may not have instant results, but in the end it pays well. Don’t stop, if you stop you fail, therefore keep trying!

If you plant a seed to day, it won’t grow until you harvest today. You will have to water it for many days. You will have to weed it for many days. There will be many days when nothing is happening that looks like progress. If you keep doing the right thing, then one day you will harvest. If you stop it will die and you will never harvest. Don’t stop, if you stop you fail, therefore keep trying!

If you start an academic program you won’t graduate the same day. You have to go to school for many boring days. You have to do many draining assignments. You have to face many tests. If you quit, you fail, but if you keep doing the right thing you will complete your studies. Don’t stop, if you stop you fail, therefore keep trying!

Employment is challenging. Waking up early. Chasing urgent reports. Receiving orders from bosses. Hard to relate with colleagues. But if you don’t quit, you will get your pay. If you quit you will be jobless. Don’t stop, if you stop you fail, therefore keep trying!

If you start a business, you will not break even soon. The first two to three years are hard and almost unproductive. If you stick in there and keep doing the right thing, you will succeed. If you stop the business will collapse. Don’t stop, if you stop you fail, therefore keep trying!

A relationship May start with excitement. Then reality comes in and you must spend time adjusting to your partner. If nothing is life threatening, then keep adjusting. If you give up, you lose the relationship. If you keep doing the right thing, you will get to the place of being comfortable with each other. Intentionally work towards a happy relationship. It won’t just happen. Don’t stop, if you stop you fail, therefore keep trying!

When bringing up children it takes years of parenting guidance. Insist on obedience. Your children must completely obey you. Be firm and consistent from their young age. Let them know they must do what you say. As they grow older you give reasons and discuss why you make certain expectations. Don’t stop, if you stop you fail, therefore keep trying!

Your faith requires daily prayer and Bible study. Some days may be uninspiring. Some days may be exciting. Don’t stop, if you stop you fail, therefore keep trying!

May God help us not to stop doing the good that will bring good results. Hang in there. It may be tough and boring, hang in there. Giving up is dying. Fight to the end. God’s command today is – Don’t stop, if you stop you fail, therefore keep trying! In Jesus’s name, Amen!
