2 Thessalonians 1:6 “God is just: _He will pay back trouble to those who trouble you_ *1:7* _and give relief to you who are troubled, and to us as well._ This will happen when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven in blazing fire with his powerful angels.”
Impunity is freedom from punishment or facing consequences of bad behaviour. Impunity is temporary. Impunity hurts because the offended is in pain and helpless, since the offender seems above the law and untouchable. Impunity is temporary.
The devil seems, I said seems, to enjoy impunity. Those people who hurt us daily seem, I said seem to enjoy impunity. We too hurt others and even pretend we are the ones who are hurt. God’s Word to the offender and offended is, impunity is temporary.
The offender will be punished. The offended will be compensated. Justice will prevail very soon and when Jesus returns on earth. Impunity is extremely temporary.
Let’s go about our business today without offending others…because we know whatever impunity we enjoy is temporary. Let us go about our business today without being too depressed or sad because of those who hurt us…because we know whatever impunity they enjoy is temporary. Whatever the devil does to us is temporary.
Let us cheer up because in the name of Jesus… impunity has been made temporary!
