Pull The Trigger!

Daniel 9:23 (NIV) – As soon as you began to pray, a word went out, which I have come to tell you, for you are highly esteemed. Therefore, consider the word and understand the vision:

A gun is designed to shoot out bullets. Every weapon has ammunition that it shoots out. The weapons have a mechanism that releases ammunition at a high speed towards a target to destroy it. However, guns and all weapons will only release bullets and whatever ammunition when triggered. There is a trigger that must be pulled or pressed. Therefore if you intend to shoot, pull the trigger!

If you do not pull the trigger, the gun will not shoot. If you do not pull the trigger, the weapon will not release ammunition. If an enemy approaches, pull the trigger. If you are in grave danger and you cannot escape, just pull the trigger. If you do not pull the trigger, the weapon will not work and you will be harmed. You will get hurt or even die, not because you lacked a weapon, but because you did not pull the trigger!

This is an analogy for our lesson today. Under normal circumstances, you need training in order to use weapons. You need government approval. Do not handle weapons without approval. Do not handle weapons carelessly. You may harm someone, kill somebody and you end up rotting in Prison for the few days you still have on earth. You may render a family childless, parentless, etc. Be careful about handling weapons. When you have a weapon, your opponent can easily kill you out of fear that you will kill them first. Weapons are dangerous. Be much more careful handling weapons when angry because you are not in the right state of mind and what you do is regrettable.

Daniel 9:23 (Message Bible ) – You had no sooner started your prayer when the answer was given. And now I’m here to deliver the answer to you. You are much loved! So listen carefully to the answer, the plain meaning of what is revealed:

Daniel is praying and an Angel comes to answer his prayers that he is still praying. Angel Gabriel tells him that as soon as he started praying, an answer was given. Prayers became a trigger for the answer. The prayers triggered answers to be shot from heaven, so to speak. Prayer triggers divine answers. Pull the trigger!

There are prayers God is willing and ready to answer, but He is waiting for you to pray. Your prayers will trigger God to answer. Therefore, pull the trigger!

If you do not pray, you are like a person who has a weapon that can help him but is suffering under attack. Our advice for such a person is the message right here today. Pull the trigger!

As soon as Daniel started praying, God at that very moment sent an answer. Daniel’s prayer triggered divine response. Daniel pulled the trigger by praying. Can you too pull the trigger by praying about the situation you are in? Pull the trigger!

To pray is to pull the trigger. When facing sickness, pull the trigger. When facing loneliness, pull the trigger. When facing failure, pull the trigger. God will shoot out answers when you pull the trigger by praying.

To pray is to pull the trigger. When in danger, save yourself by pulling the trigger. Are you in danger spiritually? Pull the trigger. Are you overwhelmed socially? Pull the trigger. Are you mentally challenged? Pull the trigger. Is the situation more than you can bear? Pull the trigger.

Blessings will be triggered to pour out from heaven towards you, if you pull the trigger of prayer. Do you need blessings in school and at work? Pull the trigger.  Do you need blessings in your marriage? Pull the trigger. Do you need blessings for your parents or children or siblings? Pull the trigger. When you pray, you trigger blessings from heaven. Pull the trigger!

God is waiting for you to pull the trigger. God was waiting for Daniel, and as soon as he started praying, he got answers to prayer. May God answer us today, as we pull the trigger, in Jesus name, Amen!
