Eliminate The Noise and The Crowd First

Matthew 9:23-25 (NIV) – 23 When Jesus entered the synagogue leader’s house and saw the noisy crowd and people playing pipes, 24 he said, “Go away. The girl is not dead but asleep.” But they laughed at him. 25 After the crowd had been put outside, he went in and took the girl by the hand, and she got up.

The Synagogue leader invited Jesus to his house. He wanted Jesus to raise his daughter from death. He believed Jesus could do it and would do it. Jesus accepted the request and left with him and went to the Synagogue leader’s house. Upon arrival they found two things that are of interest to us. They found a crowd of mourners, and this crowd was very noisy!

There was the crowd and there was the noise. Jesus did not proceed to raise the girl from death until the noise and the crowd were addressed. When Jesus entered that house, He told the crowd to go away.

There are miracles that will only take place if the crowd in your life is sent away. Jesus did not perform that miracle until the crowd left. Jesus’s first agenda before the miracle was to get rid of the crowd!

The crowd in a funeral included people who love you and come to share the grief with you. The crowd at a funeral includes people who are your neighbors and come out of civility, they come to mourn with you. The crowd at a funeral includes idlers in the community who go where the action is, to waste time or even engage in criminal activities or get free food. The crowd includes paid mourners, who are hired when death occurs as a way to ensure the departed are properly mourned. Whoever is part of the crowd, must go before the miracle of resurrection takes place!

There are loved ones in your crowd who must go, if Jesus is to bless you. There are neighbors and friends who must be out of your life is Jesus is to bless you. There are idlers and hired people whom you must get rid of, before Jesus bless you.

The crowd believed in death and did not entertain the thought of resurrection. The crowd ties you to the problem and refuse to allow you to proceed away from the problem. The crowd must go before Jesus blesses you!

The crowd believes no one passes maths and chemistry, a low grade is good enough. That crowd must go before Jesus enables you to pass those subjects. The crowd believes the economy is so bad, no business will succeed.  That crowd must go before Jesus blesses you.

The crowd believes that your spouse will never change. The crowd believes in divorce. The crowd believes in chaotic relationships as opposed to reconciliatory. Jesus will not give you a miracle in your life until you get rid of this crowd.

The crowd is making noise that you can’t get married. It’s too late. That relationship you have is weak and may not succeed. The crowd has its theme as red flags everywhere. In fact that crowd itself is the main red flag. There will be no miracle of you marrying or getting married until the crowd leaves your life.

The crowd is making noise of faithlessness. There will be no miracle until the crowd and its noise are out of your life. The crowd is making noise that your health can’t change for the better. Jesus wants that crowd out of your life first, before you get a health miracle.

The crowd is making noise that discourages you spiritually. The noise that makes it difficult for you to grow spiritually. Jesus says that the first thing is to get rid of the crowd, before He blesses your spiritual life!

The crowd could be the friends you talk with on phone daily. The crowd could be someone or people you chat with daily. The crowd could be a social media group that you are part of and have certain consistent discussions. The crowd could be an expert whose opinions you read or listen to regularly. The crowd could be a close family member or friend that you confide in and they are your support system. Whoever is in the crowd is making noise that is affecting you. Jesus wants them out of your life first, before He answers your prayers!

The crowd and its noise must cease first. No more phone calls and chats on that same agenda. No more listening to them on social media or TV or radio. No more reading their blogs. No more reading comments from that group. No more attending those social events. No more confiding in this negative person or people. Jesus will only perform the miracle after the crowd and its noise are gone!

Matthew 9:25 (Message Bible) – But when Jesus had gotten rid of the crowd, he went in, took the girl’s hand, and pulled her to her feet—alive.

If you invite Jesus in your life, He will get rid of the crowd. Jesus and the crowd cannot coexist. It’s either Jesus goes or the crowd goes. It’s either the noise from the crowd goes or the words from Jesus goes. The miracle from Jesus will only happen if the crowd and its noise are gone!

Luke 18:29-30 (NIV) – 29 “Truly I tell you,” Jesus said to them, “no one who has left home or wife or brothers or sisters or parents or children for the sake of the kingdom of God 30 will fail to receive many times as much in this age, and in the age to come eternal life.”

For the sake of God’s kingdom, we must leave the crowd and its noise. We must leave home, wife (read spouse), brothers, sisters, parents and even children. Only then will God bless us many times in this life and in the life to come we will receive eternal life. Only after the crowd and its noise is out of our lives!

Getting rid of the crowd may mean real separation never to meet again. It may also mean that you continue relating but with a mental, emotional and social distance that prevents them from influencing you with their negativity. You are still the child of those parents and you interact with them, but they don’t influence you. You still relate with your siblings or spouse or children, but you have made a mental block to ensure they do not influence you. You do not hear their noise. Then and only then will a miracle follow.

1 Corinthians 15:33 (NIV) – Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good character.”

The crowd corrupts you. The crowd misleads you. The crowd encourages you to go in the wrong direction. The crowd causes you to doubt your potential. The crowd kills your psyche and morale. The crowd contributes to how you feel and what you do. Do not be misled that you are too strong to be influenced by the crowd. You are where you are today because of either God or the influence and noise of the crowd around you. If God has to bless you, you must first get rid of the crowd!

Your attitude towards school and success depends on your crowd and its noise. Your attitude towards marriage and your spouse depends on your crowd and its noise. Your attitude towards your single life and potential life partners depends on your crowd and its noise. Your attitude towards finances and economic growth depends on your crowd and its noise. Your attitude towards health and the necessary reforms depends on your crowd and its noise. Your attitude towards spiritual things depends on your crowd and its noise. Jesus will only bless us when the crowd and its noise are gone out of our lives!

Dear Jesus, get rid of my crowd and its noise right now. Bless me and grant me a miracle. In Jesus’s name, Amen!
