Matthew 5:23-24
(23) “Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother or sister has something against you, (24) leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your gift.
Can anything be superior to worship? Aren’t we going to worship in heaven for eternity? Aren’t angels ever engaged in worship? Aren’t the first two commandments about worship? Can anything be superior to worship?
When we are worshipping we are engaging God directly. We are in the presence of God during worship. We listen to God’s word during worship. We pray to God during worship. We praise God during worship. Can anything be superior to worship?
Our scripture passage today makes a very serious suggestion that there is something superior to worship. Something that would be prioritized over worship. Something that we can forego worship in order to have it. Reconciliation is superior to worship!
Jesus in His sermon on the mount taught that if you are worshipping, giving an offering at the altar, and then you remember that there is a pending reconciliation, you must stop the worship and prioritize reconciliation. Jesus said you shouldn’t continue worshipping when you have not reconciled. Reconciliation is so important that worship can wait. Reconciliation is superior to worship!
The words of Jesus are that first go and be reconciled and then come and worship. First, go and be reconciled. Any worship that takes place before reconciliation is null and void. If you worship while reconciliation remains secondary in your agenda, you are hellbound. Reconciliation is superior to worship!
Worshippers should be clean of grudges. Worshippers should have no vendetta. Worshippers should have settled the issues. Worshippers don’t avoid anyone because of past issues. Worshippers would rather be offended than offend someone else. Worshippers stand in the presence of God. Worshippers are willing and ever-ready to reconcile with anyone and everyone. Reconciliation is superior to worship!
Do not delay reconciliation for it nullifies all the aspects of worship that you engage in. Unless you reconcile, even your prayers may never get a response from God. May God enable us to reconcile as soon as possible, in Jesus’ name, Amen!

God answered my prayers when this person called we had a discussion and from that moment on the peace i have surpasses all understanding. So anyone struggling with reconciliation just ask God to help you.
