  • Tempted After Affirmation But Perfectly Attended To

While in the wilderness it seemed that Jesus was alone with the wild animals. At times during temptation, it seems everyone has abandoned us. While it is true that Jesus was alone without any human support, He was not alone. While it is true that people can abandon us and they really do, but God though not visible never abandons us. In our text, today the Bible tells us that angels were attending to Jesus. In the lonely and fearful wilderness, angels attended to Jesus and they still attend to us. Tempted after affirmation but perfectly attended to.

  • Will The World End After Fourteen Generations?

Secondly, Matthew shows that Jesus came at the right time. Matthew shows that between Abraham the father of faith and King David there are fourteen generations. Then between David and the Babylonian exile, there are fourteen generations. Between the end of Babylonian exile and the coming of Jesus, there are fourteen generations. Jesus came at a precise time. That precision shows that God was purposeful in sending Jesus. Therefore Jesus is the Messiah because He came at the right time. Apostle Paul also reiterates that Jesus came at the right time, Galatians 4:4.

  • I Was Only A Little Angry

God tells us that He was just a little angry. It was in that moment of little anger that He allowed His people to go into captivity for seventy years. Sometimes when God is a little angry with us we fail exams, we incur losses, we lose jobs and businesses, we get sick, we lose loved ones, etc. When that moment of anger passes, God restores us.

  • What About The Tradition of Shaving Hair?

Does God prescribe how we should attend to our hair? Does God allow us some liberty on how to attend to our hair? There are traditions around us on how hair is handled, should we follow those traditions?

  • God Blames The Capital Cities

The sins of the southern kingdom are blamed on its capital city, Jerusalem. The sins of the northern kingdom are blamed on its capital city, Samaria. God knows something about the capital cities. God blames the capital cities!

  • Relationships That Replace God will Displace Happiness

Dear God, save me from loving Moresheth Gath more than you. May I never love anything more than you. Grant me wisdom to identify and avoid Akzib. Things that give high hopes but end up in disappointment. May my relationship with you O God be a top priority, in Jesus’ name, Amen!

  • “Preaching Against” Seems Negative But It’s Positive

Preach against them? Is that professional? Preaching a sermon targeting someone? A sermon full of condemnation? Is it right? A sermon against a specific person or group of people? How should you react if a preacher deliberately targets you in their sermon? What options are available to you who is targeted by a sermon that is preached against you?

  • Do You Obey God or Do The Right Thing?

What if God asked you to do something that contradicts what you have known to be right? Would you obey God if what He asks of you contradicts what you have always known to be right? If you were sure this is God talking to you and asking you to do that which you know is wrong, would you do it? Do you obey God or do you do the right thing?

  • The Secret Behind Their Order and Excellence

God is depicted as being served by all sorts of creatures and beings. God is depicted as operating in an environment far removed from anything we can associate with. While we serve God within our limitations and imperfections, Ezekiel depicts God as being served in heaven by beings who are extremely orderly and excellent in motion. They perfectly execute their service to God in a manner that leaves us in awe.
