Matthew 11:28 “Come to me, *all you who are weary* and burdened, and *I will give you rest* .11:29 *Take my yoke* upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.11:30 For *my yoke is easy* and my burden is light.”
Jesus wants to make your life easier. He invites all those for whom life is hard, who are stressed, fed up, irritated, uncomfortable, who regret everything, those who are weary – they can’t take it anymore, those who can’t take another disappointment, those who can’t take another failure, those who can’t take another ‘no’ or ‘try again later’ for an answer, and to all those whom this is the last attempt!
Jesus says indeed our yoke for today is hard, burdensome and we are weary. Jesus offers to take your situation and deal with it. He then gives you His yoke.
My yoke is easy! In exchange of our unbearable life He gives us a life of trusting Him for the results of our efforts. Letting Him worry for us.
The bigger part of our daily burdens is worry and concern for end result of our efforts. Jesus says…take My yoke…do your best everyday… but let me and not you…worry and be concerned about the outcome…His yoke has the daily duties but without worry or care about end results…do your best God does the rest! This is His yoke on offer to us.
Our yoke is worry about contracts to be renewed, bosses to be pleased, efforts to be loved by absent or reluctant persons, elusive deals to bring us money fortune, results of critical exams, etc.
As we face another day…will you take His yoke? His yoke has the usual hard work but without any worry for end result…He deals with that… May we take His yoke today and have a stress free life in Jesus name. Amen!
