  • According To Their Ability …

A rich person with a fine lifestyle outlook may seem like one who should give more, but God knows that out of bad choices he is in deep debt and the little he gave is the best of his abilities. A young unemployed person who is expected to give too little may give slightly more than expected, and as we congratulate her, God is not pleased, because God knows while she is unemployed, people wooing her have sent her much more monies as gifts than even held in banks by the rich man in debts. Our abilities may not be obvious to people but are well known by God.

  • Do It In a Big Way!

Seeking God first so that everything else succeeds, remains the most open functional secret to success that many ignore. Seeking God first is the key to everything else being provided. Do you need everything else? Seek God first!

  • Who and What Do You Honor More?

There are times which our response must show total resolve. Half-hearted responses to problems do not solve problems, instead, they enhance problems. Eli’s response was not sufficient. He rebuked his sons but that wasn’t enough, God expected more. He rebuked his sons but he feared them or pampered them and didn’t want to offend them. That wasn’t love, it was foolishness and they died for it.

  • How Can an Angel Say Such Things?

The identity of the Angel of the LORD in the Old Testament has been intriguing for many Bible students. The reference that it is an Angel of the LORD causes some to quickly conclude that it is just any other angel. But a closer study of all incidences involving the Angel of the LORD starts revealing that we are not dealing with any ordinary angel.

  • For Your Safety Stay In the House

To believe in God, the Bible, His church, etc., is of no value if you cannot put it into practice. Such faith is still inferior to the faith that demons and evil spirits have. Faith without practice makes you worse than evil spirits… If faithfulness to the true God, true teachings and the true church will mean that you betray some people, so be it. You cant quit alcohol unless you betray fellow drunkards and quit. You cant quit sexual immorality unless you betray your comrades in sin. You cant adopt new austerity and investment measures unless you betray your financial commitments that were addictive and wasting monies. Be strong enough to betray and make good moves.

  • If You Give Flour Give The Finest

Blessings do not come because you gave, but because you gladly gave the one you loved. You do not get blessed for just giving routinely. You do not get blessed because you gave a lot. You get blessed because you gladly gave the best. If you give flour give the finest! Giving the best shows love. Giving the best shows commitment. Giving the best contributes to our spiritual growth. Giving the best causes what we remain with to serve us better. Giving the best triggers a flood of blessings to come our way. Whatever you give, give the best. If you give flour give the finest!

  • Always Start With A Plan and Pre-requisites

If this is not a marriage partner, how will this intimacy end? The end will come but do you see it? If this is a marriage relationship, why the intolerance? What will be the end of this intolerance? Do you see where this intolerance is heading to? If your powers and abilities have term limits why behave as if you are invincible? Where do you see this conduct ending? If this is a business, why are you careless with customers and thoughtless about best practices? Where do you see this business going? What end do you foresee? All our activities today have a sure end that we are moving towards. Plan for a good ending. A plan shows the end you are moving to, where you begin and where you will go through. There will never be success without a delibaerate plan for sucess!

  • Are You As Concerned For The Truth?

Apostle John salutes the church in our text today and he punctuates his greetings and message with the word truth. He refers to the church as children he loves in the truth. Then he says, the greetings come from him and all those who know the truth. Then he says the truth which lives in us will never abandon us but will be with us forever. The keyword in his salutation and message is the word truth. Are you as concerned for the truth?

  • When Your Faith Grows, What Else Grows?

Paul tells the Thessalonians that their faith has grown. Paul and company are very happy to report that the faith of the church of the Thessalonians has grown. Did they have land? We don’t know. Did they have cathedrals and a state-of-the-art Public Address System? We don’t know. What we know is that their faith was growing. How much money were they collecting every time they came to worship? We don’t know. What we know and what matters is that their faith was growing. Our present-day congregations are the opposite. We know their land, their buildings, their technology gadgets and facilities, and even what they collect during worship, but we know nothing about their faith growth.
