“I hear the Savior say,
‘Thy strength indeed is small;
Child of weakness, watch and pray,
Find in Me thine all in all.'” – _SDAH 184 Jesus Paid It All_ .
The Savior is God and He is making a final undebateable conclusion about me and about you. God says my strength indeed is small. Compared to what I am going through – my strength indeed is small. Compared to what is coming my way, what is building up against me – my strength indeed is small.
My strength is too small to face stiff competition, to wrestle with bad health, to acknowledge failure and begin again. The Saviour says in His assessment, my strength is too small to achieve anything today.
The Savior therefore advises a remedy to my indeed small strength. He says to me…child of weakness…He actually wants me to acknowledge my weakness… He says…child of weakness… watch and pray!
Watching and praying links those who are indeed small to an Almighty great God! He says to us who are too weak to overcome today, too weak to face today…He says…watch and pray!
Then God promises us who are indeed weak, whose strength is indeed small…He says…When you watch and pray…you will find in me thine all in all. We will find everything we need, we whose strength is indeed small, we who are children of weakness.
God says…Find in me thine all in all…May we whose strength is indeed small, may we who are children of weakness, may we find everything in God today in Jesus name. *Amen!*
