If We Are To Succeed…

Galatians 5:15

How we treat each other will determine success or failure on a personal and collective level. Apostle Paul tells the Galatians that if they have so many wrangles amongst them, they will destroy each other. If we are to succeed we must work in favor of each other.

Wrangles are sustained by a belief that in the inter-personal fights one will emerge as a winner. Wrangles go on because someone wants to succeed greatly from destroying others. The Bible tells us today that everyone will suffer loss from wrangles. Wrangles have no winner. If we are to succeed we must work in favor of each other.

Wrangles are born out of envy. We envy the other person and we want to be like them or better than them. After envying them, we try to beat them then we fail. We start working against them. Talking negatively about them. Frustrating their progress. At some point, they discover what we are doing against them and immediately they start working against us too. Now we have a wrangle. The inspired word of God assures us today, that this way of life, will leave everyone destroyed. No one will achieve anything from fighting the other person. If we are to succeed we must work in favor of each other.

The reason why we will fail is first that God has said so. God does not support anyone who wants others to fail and he alone succeeds. God will therefore cause the failure of anyone and everyone who undermines others in order to emerge a winner. Wrangles are driven by hate for each other. God does not condone us to hate each other. Whoever hates has God against him/her. With God against you, there is no chance in an entire lifetime of ever succeeding. If we have wrangles that means all of us are working against each other, God who never fails in what He does will ensure we all fail. If we are to succeed we must work in favor of each other.

Another reason why we will fail when we have wrangles is that God designed the world in such a way that we need each other. If you do not support the other person they will fail and if they don’t support you, you fail. Where there are wrangles, no one supports the other, therefore by opposing God’s plan we fail. If we are to succeed we must work in favor of each other.

God designed the world like a body. Different parts but working for the common good. No body part is superior to the other. Any body part that refuses to cooperate will cause harm to the whole body. Church members with different gifts need each other. Excellent preachers cannot work without PA system operators. PA System operators cannot work without a treasury that does purchases. We all need each other. If we fight each other we fail. Everyone has a unique contribution that they make and if you support them and they support you, you both succeed. If we are to succeed we must work in favor of each other.

Husbands and wives are different in many ways but must work together for the good of the family. If they turn against each other they will fail as a family and as individuals. Seniors at work need juniors and vice versa. Sellers need customers and vice versa. Neighbors need each other. Relatives need each other. God made no one sufficient without others. If we are to succeed we must work in favor of each other.

God has decreed today in His word that my personal success will require the support I give others and that they give me. If perchance out of diabolic inspiration they fail to support me after I have supported them, God is able to defeat them and still grant me success without them. God supervises this life. We are not on our own. God wants us to relate well and wish each other well. Do your best for others and they may be inspired to return the favor. Do your best for others and if they fail to do their best for you, you are safe, because God will bless you, grant you success, and destroy them. Do not wait for others to work in your favor, just work in their favor, God is watching. If we are to succeed we must work in favor of each other.

Dear God, forgive us where we have not worked in favor of each other. Give us wisdom and courage to work in favor of others. Protect us from those who do not wish us well. May your will be ultimately done, in Jesus’ name, Amen!
