Genesis 3:1
Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’? ”
Amplified Bible
Now the serpent was more crafty (subtle, skilled in deceit) than any living creature of the field which the LORD God had made. And the serpent (Satan) said to the woman, “Can it really be that God has said, ‘You shall not eat from any tree of the garden’?”
Genesis chapter three is a sad book of the Bible. What begins in this chapter is behind all our miseries to this day. This chapter explains how human beings chose to defy God the source of life and thereby ruined their lives.
Genesis chapter one gives us the outline of how God created the whole world. Genesis chapter two gives us the detailed creation of day six when human beings too were created. God clearly told Adam that he should completely avoid the tree that had the forbidden fruit. God made it clear that eating from that tree will bring bout death
Chapter three of Genesis ushers us to a scenario where human beings ignore the clear instructions from God and instead eat the forbidden fruit. Even the threat of death was not enough to deter human beings from sinning against God. Threats don’t work against sin. Even if we threaten people that the world is ending tomorrow, or that persecution begins soon, they will not get saved based on threats.
The disaster of Adam and Eve eating the forbidden fruit and consequently plunging us into untellable trouble began with a conversation. If Eve had refused to have that conversation she would not have been tempted to sin. There are conversations we should never have even if we feel safe and secure. Avoid that conversation!
Satan entered into the most intelligent animal that God created, the snake. The devil in the snake began the conversation. He knew exactly where he was going to lead the conversation. Eve didn’t know the direction that the conversation will take. The devil was in control of the conversation with clear objectives. Eve was just being led around the conversation towards defying God. She should never have had that conversation. Avoid that conversation!
The conversation began innocently as a simple inquiry. The innocent beginning conversation could end up fully destroying your life. The devil in the snake feigned ignorance and wanted to be informed of what God said. The next thing is the devil through the conversation, led Eve to doubt God. Some conversations will lead you to doubt the basics of faith you have held all your life. From this doubt, she compromised and ate the forbidden fruit. She should never have had that conversation. Avoid that conversation!
It is conversations that lead one to start feeling bewitched and now fearing witchcraft. You should never have had that conversation. Avoid that conversation. It is a conversation that causes fear and suspicion of others being Illuminati and devil worshippers. It is a conversation that eventually causes hysteria in schools. We should never have had that conversation. Avoid that conversation!
Bad friends, bad habits, trying alcohol, trying cigarettes, trying hard drugs, all begin as a conversation about these things not being bad. We should avoid these conversations. Joining terror groups begin as conversations on social media or with some friend. We should never have that conversation. Getting into crime, even being conned and robbed even online begins as a conversation of a very good deal. We should never have had that conversation. Avoid that conversation!
The people you are told want to bring you down are all from conversations. There is no truth in it. A sycophant plays with our insecurities and we develop hatred for innocent others from that conversation. A leader should be careful what conversations they hold and with whom. Some conversations are best avoided.
Some conversations tempt us to speak negatively about others then they are informed of what we said, what follows is heartache and broken relationships. We should have rejected that conversation that gossips about others. Some conversations cause us to respond and speak in a regrettable manner in public. We should never have had that conversation. Avoid that conversation!
That fight that caused injury began as a conversation. Conversations in times of anger should be avoided. Conversations that lead to fights should be avoided. Some would have avoided prison if they had avoided certain conversations. Some would be alive who were killed in an altercation if they had avoided that conversation. Avoid that conversation!
Fornication, adultery, and all illicit sex begin as conversations. If you can talk about it, you are halfway into the sexual act. The best way, the safest way is to keep off that conversation. Avoid that conversation!
The devil landed us all into trouble when he brought a conversation that led to sin. The devil still uses conversations as a beginning point into sin. Face-to-face conversations. Social media chats conversations. Phone call conversations. Email conversation. May God save us from such conversations that bring us and others harm, in Jesus’ name, Amen!

If we can avoid certain conversations, we can escape certain regrets. Thanks for the teaching Dr. Kesis.

Thank you so much pastor for elaborating it to us in a simplified way that we need to avoid some conversations that lead to sin.
I have a question: we understand that after Adam and Eve sinned they were given punishment that man shall sweat to have food for his family and the woman shall bare pain during child birth, was the same punishment given to animals since they give birth in pain like the woman does?
What is the connection of punishment between the woman and animals?
Romans 8:19
For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed. Romans 8:20
For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope Romans 8:21
that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God.Romans 8:22
We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time.
Because of our sins, the entire creation suffers and waits for us to be saved so that they stop suffering!
