I Need This Lifetime Cover, Do You?

1 Samuel 7:13 – So the Philistines were subdued and they stopped invading Israel’s territory. Throughout Samuel’s lifetime, the hand of the LORD was against the Philistines.

A lifetime cover is like an insurance against certain losses and misfortunes. A cover requires installment investments. A cover becomes beneficial when need arises. A lifetime cover gives you protection from birth to death. I need this life time cover!

Our text today tells us that throughout Samuel’s lifetime, God suppressed the Philistines who desired to attack Israel. Philistines were enemies of Israel. They constantly sought to attack Israel. They were a menace and a nuisance.

Samuel was faithful to God and that was his investment in this lifetime cover. Samuel followed the will of God. Samuel sacrificed to God. Samuel urged people to abandon idolatry. Samuel was a man of God and God consequently covered him for the rest of his life. I need this lifetime cover!

Israel wasn’t known for a powerful army. Israel didn’t have great generals like David and Joab that it later on had. Israel had a faithful man committed to God. That man had a lifetime cover against enemy attack and Israel were his beneficiaries. I need this lifetime cover!

Israelites May have thought that Samuel was a useless guy. Israelites May have misunderstood why their enemies the Philistines were subdued. The Bible today reveals that their leader had a lifetime cover from God!

As regular installment to the cover, Samuel made sacrifices to God. A show of reverence and allegiance. Samuel did the Will of God and shunned evil. God covered him for a lifetime. No enemy attacked Israel as long as Samuel was alive. I need this lifetime cover!

Throughout my lifetime God’s hand should be against my enemies both known and unknown. Throughout my lifetime God’s hand should bring me favors and success. Throughout my lifetime my family will be protected from harm and danger. Throughout my lifetime my assignments should always succeed. Throughout my lifetime I should remain notoriously faithful to God.

Throughout my lifetime I need God’s hand to guide me. Throughout my lifetime I want to remain faithful and be known as a man of God. I need God to cover me for the rest of my life. In Jesus’s name, Amen!
