Song of Songs 7:8
I said, โI will climb the palm tree;
I will take hold of its fruit.โ
May your breasts be like clusters of grapes on the vine,
the fragrance of your breath like apples,
In this inspired romantic story the man praises the physical beauty of the lady he admires. It is biblical to note attractive physical features. God did not make a mistake in making them visible. To ignore physical beauty is to ignore the Creatorโs work. To appreciate is different from lusting and coveting. It is biblically correct to appreciate your spouse physically.
The Song of Songs is an expression of love between two people who are in the process to get married. The expression of love by the man is not to all women but to the one he loves. She responds to admiration, not by all men but the one she has chosen. Note the language throughout the book, “my love” “my beloved” is focused on one person. Not one man admiring every woman that passes by or one woman admiring every man that shows interest. It is important to narrow down before you start expressing love. Do not express love too early before you narrow down to the one person.
The man mentions various body parts that make him go crazy over this woman that he has chosen. Feet and legs, Song of Songs 7:1. Navel and waist Song of Songs 7:2. Breasts, Song of Songs 7:3. Neck, eyes and nose, Song of Songs 7:4. Head and hair, Song of Songs 7:5. Height, body shape, and breasts, Song of Songs 7:6. Then for the third time, he mentions the breasts in the same chapter, Song of Songs 7:8. After mentioning breasts for the third time, he also mentions something that is critical when we relate with people, he mentions the breath of her mouth is sweet. How is your breath?
It is important to ask yourself if you have appreciated the physical beauty of your spouse. God designed that our bonds grow closer when physical beauty is admired and pronounced so to us. It is not Christian or piety to behave like you did not notice the physical features of the person of your choice. Unless your holiness is above the levels in scripture, which is no longer, therefore, Christianity but a new religion. However our focus today is on the mention of breath. How is your breath?
Breath is the air that goes in and out of our mouth and nose. When we love people we tend to get close. When we are close we note the breath coming out of their mouth and nose. The Bible tells us that the breath of this particular one was so good fragrance. Meaning it was not natural breath, but had more than a natural breath. In an era when they did not have the toothpaste that we have today, they still knew the value of selected herbs that will produce good breath. How is your breath?
Brush your teeth God’s people. Do not brush with salt. Salt may have benefits in dental care, I do not know, but it doesn’t produce the fragrance that will make you loveable. Do not rush out and be satisfied to gaggle water without sweet-smelling toothpaste, because natural breath may come out and you lose points in the love scenario. Mind your breath God’s people. It is biblical and the most loving thing to do. How is your breath?
Your marriage partner may be sleeping facing the other side because your breath is not biblical, it lacks fragrance. Your friends maintain distance from you, not because of Covid-19 control measures, but because your breath is not biblical, it lacks fragrance. Your prayer partners in church fear coming close to you because your breath is not biblical, it lacks fragrance. We interact with people closely in love and fellowship therefore mind your breath. How is your breath?
In an attempt to protect ourselves from Covid-19 we take so many concoctions that have various types of smells. Be careful after taking your concoctions that your breath does not become a sharp repulsing smell akin to the pesticide. It is biblically inspired to mind your breath. It should not just be natural but sweet-smelling. Natural breath is not God’s will. God can’t create us with a brain to improve life then we insist on natural. He created us and expects us to use the brains He gave us, to get a more than natural breath, sweet-smelling breath. In our other articles on our site reikesis.com, we talked about perfumes, body odors that should not be natural. God made us natural and He expects us to improve life beyond natural. He gave us food and expects us to cook, which is improving it. He made better clothes for Adam and Eve from animal skin, which is improving the natural material. Improve many things but for today, begin with improving your breath. How is your breath?
Your breath could be one reason why you are rejected and can’t be told why. Your breath could be the reason why your intimacy is wanting. Your breath could be the reason why people avoid prayer meetings and fellowship where you are present. Your breath could be the reason why people are ever in a rush when they meet you. Your breath could be the reason why you are ushered out of offices quickly. Your breath could be the reason why someone will not accept your God and His message nor come to worship with you. Mind your breath. How is your breath?
Thank you for this revelation dear God, help us to change our lifestyle and mind our breath and many other things that could be repelling people from us. May we mind our breath from today on, in Jesus’ name, Amen!

๐๐๐๐๐very relevant just like every other piece you’ve done. The breath is very serious business, and it is not biblical to insist on the natural instead of improving ourselves using the brains given by God!
God bless you!
Almaz, you got it! No insisting on natural when sweet and better is available. Be blessed too!
Did you mention that natural should only be left to the animals? ๐๐

Proverbs 17:22
A joyful heart is good medicine,
but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.
Glory to God and feel welcome!
