This is God’s Signature of Approval in your Life!

Deuteronomy 4:38
to drive out before you nations greater and stronger than you and to bring you into their land to give it to you for your inheritance, as it is today.

A signature of approval authorizes you to access and do that which otherwise you wouldn’t be permitted to. God’s signature of approval is a license to operate in life. God’s signature of approval is a permit. God’s signature of approval gives you the confidence to engage in what you are doing and move around. God’s signature of approval protects you from being harassed. A signature of approval is what we all need!

How do I know that I have God’s signature of approval? How do I identify God’s signature? What does God’s signature look like? If I know God’s signature, I will be able to distinguish the fake and avoid being conned. What is God’s signature of approval?

Our text today tells us what God did for Israel so that they remember that He is God and there is no other. When Israel was weakest as a nation, enslaved in Egypt, with no hope of ever being liberated, God did the unthinkable. God caused this weakest and least Nation to defeat Egypt the greatest nation of that time. When the weakest defeats the strongest, this is God’s signature of approval.

As Israel traveled from Egypt to Canaan the Promised Land, they met nations and kingdoms that were stronger, greater, and better than them. There was no way they had a chance of even winning against them. Yet God gave Israelites resounding victory against kingdoms and nations that were greater than them. When the weakest beats and gains victory against the strongest, this is God’s signature of approval.

Moses tells Israelites that when you look back, you were the worst competing with the best, yet you emerged the best. This is God’s signature of approval in your life. The reverse is true, if you are the best and the worst beats you again and again, then it means God has a case against you. This is God’s signature please take note of what He is communicating.

When Israelites crossed into the Promised Land, they met Jericho a city that was impregnable. Jericho was impossible to fight or defeat. As they were looking at the impossibility of the task at hand, God told them to march around the city. On the seventh day, Jericho came down. The unconquerable was conquered. This is God’s signature of approval!

When Achan stole things from Jericho and God got offended, Israel was unable to defeat the small and weak city of Ai. This city of Ai was so small and weak. Joshua sent a very small army to bring it down. When Israel went to Ai without God’s signature of approval, they were thoroughly beaten to an unforgettable embarrassment. Strong Israel was beaten by the weak city of Ai. This is a clear sign that Israel lacked the signature of Approval from God!

In the book of Daniel chapter two, we are informed that God planned a succession of kingdoms to rule the world from Babylon’s time to the end of the world. What we observe is that a weaker kingdom will replace a stronger kingdom. Silver will replace gold. Bronze will replace Silver. Iron will replace Bronze. A mixture of Iron and Clay, a very weak combination, will replace Iron. Finally, a stone will replace Iron and rule in place of all the precious metals. The weak will defeat the strong. This is God’s signature of approval!

Are you weak or strong academically? Are you weak or strong physically? Are you weak or strong financially? Are you weak or strong spiritually? Are you weak or strong socially? Take note, that the strong are only strong by God’s grace. Otherwise, God can cause the weak to completely vanquish the strong. This is God’s signature of approval against the strong and in favor of the weak!

He is the same God even today. May we who are perceived weak come out victorious as God’s signature of approval in our life, in Jesus’ name, Amen!
