Exodus 3:8
So I have come down to rescue them from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land into a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey —the home of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites.
Moses had run away from Egypt where all Israelites were in cruel slavery. Moses was in Midian very far from Egypt. Israelites and Egyptians did not know where Moses was. Israelites were praying and crying to God for salvation from Egypt.
As Israelites waited for God to show up in Egypt and save them, God showed up in Midian very far from them to answer their prayer. God goes to Midian to appoint Moses to go and save the Israelites from Egypt. Unknown to the crying and desperate Israelites, God had landed at a place unknown to them, but with a perfect plan to save them from their trouble. Somewhere unknown to us, God has landed to save us!
When you are in trouble in Egypt and you pray from Egypt, you expect God to show up in Egypt. When you don’t see God in Egypt, you think He has not answered your prayer. You expect God to land in Egypt and like special forces burst into your situation and save you. Sometimes God does that, He bursts into situations and rescues His people, as He did for the three Hebrew men in the Babylonian furnace, Paul and Silas in Prison, Daniel in the Lions’ den, etc. In other situations, God lands very far from the scene of your trouble. God may seem lost, but it is part of His plan to save you. Somewhere unknown to us, God has landed to save us!
God has many innumerable ways to save us. He may come instantly to our rescue or He may delay like He did until Lazarus died and was buried for four days. We can’t dictate how God will show up to save us, but we can trust that whichever way He chooses it is in our best interest. Today we focus on the method God uses of landing at a place unknown to us, yet still intending to save us. Somewhere unknown to us, God has landed to save us!
That means that when we pray and we don’t see salvation activities around us, we shouldn’t give up, because God could have already landed somewhere unknown to us in answer to this prayer. We don’t need to know everything, we only need to trust Him. Somewhere unknown to us, God has landed to save us!
Song Title - Trust His Heart
All things work for our good
Though sometimes we don’t see
How they could
Struggles that break our hearts in two
Sometimes blind us to the truth
Our Father knows what’s best for us
His ways are not our own
So when your pathway grows dim
And you just don’t see Him,
Remember you’re never alone
God is too wise to be mistaken
God is too good to be unkind
So when you don’t understand
When don’t see His plan
When you can’t trace His hand
Trust His Heart
Trust His Heart
He sees the master plan
And he holds our future in His hand,
So don’t live as those who have no hope,
All our hope is found in Him
We see the present clearly
But He sees the first and the last
And like a tapestry He’s weaving you and me,
To someday be just like Him
God is too wise to be mistaken
God is too good to be unkind
So when you don’t understand
When don’t see His plan
When you can’t trace His hand
Trust His Heart
He alone is faithful and true
He alone knows what is best for you
God is too wise to be mistaken
God is too good to be unkind
So when you don’t understand
When don’t see His plan
When you can’t trace His hand
Trust His Heart
When you don’t understand
When you don’t see His plan
When you can’t trace His hand
Trust His Heart

There is a relationship breaking somewhere so that a partner is available for you in the next few weeks. There is a disagreement in a secret relationship that you know nothing about but will stabilize your marriage. There is someone mistreating a customer somewhere who will be your best business deal out of that stress. Somewhere unknown to us, God has landed to save us!
If that boss is present at the job interview, you won’t get that job. God lands in a scholarship committee and gives that boss a short notice scholarship so that when you come for the interview he or she is not in. You expected God at the job interview, God landed at the scholarship committee unknown to you. Somewhere unknown to us, God has landed to save us!
The point is, God is doing a lot that is unknown to us, but all of it is in our best interest. If you don’t see God in action immediately, trust Him. As in the case of Israelites in Egypt, He didn’t land in Egypt to save them as they expected, He landed at a place unknown to them to save them. Somewhere unknown to us, God has landed to save us!
Teach me to trust You, dear God. Teach me to trust You even when I don’t see You landing to save me where I am. May I never forget that you have many unknown ways to save me and that somewhere unknown to me, You have landed to save me, in Jesus’ name, Amen!
