To Possess Your Success Do This

Joshua 3:5
Joshua told the people, “Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the LORD will do amazing things among you.”

Contemporary English Version
Joshua told the people, “Make yourselves acceptable to worship the LORD, because he is going to do some amazing things for us.”

God has promised you great success. You are working hard for great success. Not long from now, victory may be inevitable. How do you wait and anticipate success?

If you don’t wait properly you may miss it. If you don’t anticipate it as prescribed you will not benefit from that success. How do you wait and anticipate success?

Joshua tells the people something that we need to take note of. Joshua tells them that since God has promised to do great and amazing things for them, they must be ready to receive from God. Joshua tells them that Consecrate yourselves, make yourself worthy to stand before God in worship.

When God blesses He comes to us to bless us. If we are not worthy to be in His presence then the blessings due to us may be lost. What Joshua meant was that if you don’t consecrate yourselves, the LORD may not do the amazing things among you.

To receive material blessings, you need spiritual preparation or else you miss it. To receive blessings of physical health, you need spiritual preparation, or else you will miss it. To receive blessings in your social relationships, you need spiritual preparation, or else God will prepare it for you and you miss it.

Spiritual preparation entails a prayerful life and not the once in a while prayers. Spiritual preparation entails a Bible study life. Spiritual preparation entails worship attendance. Spiritual preparation entails confession of sins and fixing broken relationships. Spiritual preparation eventually entails repentance or a changed life. Preparation spiritually is a condition we must meet if God has to do great things for us.

Have you prayed for something and you expect God to now respond? Consecrate yourself in anticipation of that success. Are you about to face a new day or new challenges and blessings are looming in? Consecrate yourself, make yourself ready, prepare spiritually and God will bless you in Jesus’ name, Amen!
