If They Are Genuine They Will Produce

1 Thessalonians 1:3
We remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.

Good News Translation
For we remember before our God and Father how you put your faith into practice, how your love made you work so hard, and how your hope in our Lord Jesus Christ is firm.

If they are genuine means there is a fake that may be hard to identify. The fake and the genuine look alike except that the fake produces nothing. The genuine naturally produces something. If they are genuine they will produce!

The only way to separate the genuine ones from the fake ones is to demand products or expect products or look for what they produce. The fake is unable to fake production. The genuine without any prompting just produce great results. If they are genuine they will produce!

Faith that is genuine produces works. Faith that is genuine demonstrates itself by its actions. Faith that believes in God overcomes fear. Faith that believes in God keeps God’s law (we keep God’s law after salvation NOT before. Only the saved can keep God’s law as a product of their faith). Faith lives according to God’s word. Faith forgives. Faith doesn’t revenge, it lets God do it. Genuine faith produces work. If they are genuine they will produce!

Fake faith believes but doesn’t demonstrate that belief. Fake faith believes in God but refuses to give tithe AND offerings because they don’t have enough money. Fake faith believes in God and the Bible but lives according to tradition and culture that contradicts the Bible. Fake faith when challenged to demonstrate that faith, responds by saying we need to be practical and realistic. Fake faith is theoretical and never practical. Fake faith will easily break the Sabbath to attend to non-emergencies that are personal interests. Fake can’t produce. If they are genuine they will produce!

Genuine love produces labor. Genuine love is practical. Genuine love forgives and forgets. Genuine love goes the extra mile to demonstrate that it loves. Genuine love for God will praise God without prompting and attend worship with ease. Genuine love is patient with slow learners. Genuine love pities the enemies. Genuine love gives more than one chance to the erring. If it is genuine love it will produce labor. If it is genuine it will produce!

Fake love produces nothing. Fake love is selfish. Fake love is impatient. Fake love sees the poor and then avoids them after blaming them for their poverty. Fake love is theoretical and no single moment of demonstration. Fake love produces nothing. If it is genuine it will produce!

Fake love uses those they love but never serves them. Fake love will only connect with a person to get something and give nothing in return. Fake love behaves erratically and is hard to understand. Fake love eventually when discovered causes pain because it used others for its selfish ends. Fake love produces nothing. If it is genuine it will produce!

Genuine hope produces endurance. Genuine hope believes that the promise of God will come to pass. Genuine hope bears with current challenges because it won’t be long and the challenges will be overcome. Because genuine hope believes and looks forward to the promise being kept, it endures anything and everything. Genuine hope produces endurance. If they are genuine they will produce!

Fake hope is just that nothing more. Fake hope doesn’t wait it moves into a sinful alternative. Fake Hope steals rather than waiting hopefully for a long coming harvest. Fake hope can’t endure won’t endure. Fake Hope has never and will never produce endurance. If they are genuine they will produce!

Dear God, grant us genuine faith, love, and hope. That will be so genuine and will produce without struggle. Forgive us for the fake we have had. Save us from the fake, in Jesus’s name, Amen!
