Ruth 4:17
The women living there said, “Naomi has a son!” And they named him Obed. He was the father of Jesse, the father of David.
The workings of God are beyond human understanding. What God is doing may not be known to us unless He reveals it. We cant second guess God. We can’t predict what God will do next. It is not obvious, it takes faith!
We must just trust God and believe that He has good plans for us. Even when the plan is not obvious, we must trust that it will end up well. Even when suffering and in a hopeless spot, we must keep trusting. How God operates is not obvious, it takes faith to relate with God.
The story of Job is an example. Job went from loss to loss prayerfully. The more he prayed the more he lost. Things even got worse and he lost his health. Yet in all these, there was a caring God protecting him from extreme harm from satan. It would never have been obvious to Job that God would eventually restore everything. It is not obvious, it takes faith!
As Joseph went into slavery and he cried and prayed to be released so that he can run home, that prayer was never answered. Have you been at a place where you feel that God has refused to answer your prayer? You pray and nothing changes until you wonder if God still cares. Yet in that silence of God, was God’s grand plan rolling out that would end with Joseph as a prince of the country he was sold to as a slave. It was never obvious what God would do, it took faith!
Our text today tells us that Ruth and Boaz became great grandparents of Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour. If you look at their lives and how they met, it was never obvious that it would turn out like this. When Ruth lost her husband without having a child with him, it seemed a regrettable moment, yet it finally turned out that her next marriage to Boaz becomes the game-changer. By her second marriage, she became a member of the family of David the grandfather of Jesus.
When God doesn’t make sense, just trust Him. It is never obvious how God would act and conduct Himself with us, it takes faith. God will not work with your speed. God will not match your anxieties. God will not be pressured by your pressure. Yet God will always be on time and acting in your best interest. It is not obvious, it takes faith.
I have been faithful to God, and very prayerful, yet I am suffering in life. Does God care? Is He concerned? I must trust Him because it is not obvious, it takes faith. May God grant us the faith to relate with Him, in Jesus’ name, Amen!

May God see you through soon, yes even today, in Jesus’ name, Amen!
God’s plan is crazy. Indeed we can’t second guess God. We need the faith that lies deep in heart, we need the faith beyond the one we echo and reecho in songs while our hearts are are bleeding sorrows, and despondency. It is sad, for at times, even myself it becomes evident that the faith we sing and talk does not correspond to the one in heart. I remember Christ saying about the church of His time, I paraphrase, “This people honoureth me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me”. This is where the majority of contemporary church we are. We sing faith in the choir, in church hymns, death of a relative strikes, we mention a list of witches, a relationship break up, we condemn all people! We need faith that contradict plain facts with a foolhardy nevertheless! AMEN DR REI KESIS for yet another fabulous short message drawing us nearer to God!
Hallelujah!
Amen 🙏
